The Italian research doctorate (PhD) is the highest academic degree awarded by universities across a broad range of disciplines. This prestigious program is open to candidates who hold a Master’s degree or an equivalent qualification from an international institution. PhD programs are designed to develop students’ abilities to conduct advanced scientific research and enhance their research methodologies. The degree is awarded after three years of intensive study, completion of required research activities, and the successful defense of a final dissertation.
