Livio Carenza"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"divtagdefaultwrapper\" dir=\"ltr\">\n<p>The 2021 edition of the prize &#8220;Giovanni Paladin&#8221; of the Societ\u00e0 Italiana di Fisica Statistica (<em>Italian Society of Statistical Physics<\/em>) for the best PhD thesis in the field of Statistical Physics and Complex Systems will be awarded to <strong>dr. Livio Nicola Carenza<\/strong> who studied in Bari\u00a0for\u00a0his PhD in Theoretical Physics under the surpervision of prof. Giuseppe Gonnella and graduated with the dissertation titled\u00a0&#8220;Confined Active Fluids: Morphology, Topological defects and flow behaviors&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The award\u00a0ceremony\u00a0for the 2021\u00a0&#8220;Giovanni Paladin&#8221; Prize will take\u00a0place online on 28th October at 2.45pm\u00a0(<a id=\"LPlnk585405\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fisicastatistica.org\/premio-giovanni-paladin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/www.fisicastatistica.org\/premio-giovanni-paladin<\/a>). The 2021 Nobel Prize Prof. Giorgio Parisi will open the ceremony with a speech\u00a0in commemoration of Giovanni Paladin.
