The first lecture discusses the basic ideas of descriptive statistics, probability, and likelihood. The second lecture covers the key ideas in the frequentist approach to statistics, including confidence limits, profile likelihoods, p-values, and hypothesis testing. The third lecture covers inference in the Bayesian approach. Throughout, real-world examples are used to illustrate the practical application of the ideas. Since I am a particle physicist, the examples will mostly come from my field. However, the ideas are very broadly applicable.
